Welcome to The Reseller Journey

Hi, I’m Gayla. Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here.

My reselling journey began back in 2002 with something incredibly simple: selling a few items from around my house. At the time, I had no idea those first sales would turn into a passion that would stay with me for more than two decades.

Since then, I’ve sourced inventory just about everywhere imaginable; garage sales, thrift stores, estate sales, flea markets, clearance aisles, and anywhere else hidden treasures might be waiting. Along the way, I’ve experienced the excitement of finding incredible deals, the disappointment of buying items that didn’t sell, and countless lessons that only come from years of experience.

One thing I’ve learned is that reselling isn’t about getting lucky. Success comes from learning, adapting, staying consistent, and never being afraid to keep improving.

The truth is, not every year has looked the same. Some years were incredibly successful, while others were much more challenging. There were times when reselling helped pay the bills, and there were times when sales slowed and profits were hard to come by. That’s the reality of this business, and I believe it’s important to share both the victories and the setbacks. Too often, people only see the highlights, but there’s so much more to the story.

Over the years, I’ve learned what works, what doesn’t, and how ordinary people can create extra income through reselling. Whether your goal is to make a little extra spending money, help cover monthly bills, build a full time income, or simply enjoy the thrill of finding hidden treasures, there’s always something new to learn.

That’s why I created The Reseller Journey.

This blog is where I’ll share the knowledge I’ve gained over the years; the successes, the mistakes, the lessons, and the strategies that have helped me along the way. My goal is to provide honest, practical information that helps both new and experienced resellers grow their businesses with confidence.

Thank you for stopping by and being part of this journey. I’m excited to share what I’ve learned, continue learning myself, and hopefully help you along the way.

Here’s to the next great find!
